Membership Agreement

1. Purpose

By joining the Krewe of Les Bon Temps Rouler, you agree to participate in our annual parade and associated events in accordance with the rules, safety guidelines, and code of conduct outlined below.

2. Parade Rules

• All members must comply with local laws and parade regulations set forth by the City of New Orleans.

• Riders must check in with their Float Lieutenant upon arrival on parade day.

• Arrival time for float boarding is no later than 5:00 PM unless otherwise notified.

3. Safety Harness Requirement

• All riders are required to be securely fastened with a safety harness at all times while the float is in motion.

• Members may not unclip or remove the harness until the float has come to a complete stop after the parade.

4. Costume Policy

• Full costume participation is required:

  • Krewe-issued costume or approved attire.

  • Face must be painted or masked for the duration of the parade.

• No political, offensive, or inappropriate attire will be permitted.

5. Throw Policy

• Only Krewe-approved throws may be distributed during the parade.

• No throwing of glass, sharp objects, or unapproved branded merchandise.

6. Prohibited Conduct

• No smoking, illegal substances, or intoxication beyond safe limits while riding on the float.

• Members must not engage in behavior that could endanger themselves, fellow riders, or spectators.

7. Code of Conduct

• Treat all fellow members, volunteers, sponsors, and spectators with respect and courtesy.

• Follow the directions of parade officials, Krewe Captains, and Float Lieutenants at all times.

• Any conduct deemed harmful to the Krewe’s reputation may result in immediate removal from the parade and/or termination of membership.

8. Refund Policy

• All membership dues, float fees, and associated costs are non-refundable.

• This policy applies regardless of circumstances, including but not limited to:

  • Inclement weather or unsafe parade conditions.

  • City-mandated shutdowns or event cancellations.

  • Force majeure events beyond the Krewe’s control (natural disasters, emergencies, etc.).

• If the parade or related events are canceled or postponed, the Krewe will make every effort to reschedule or provide alternative membership benefits, but no refunds will be issued.

9. Acknowledgment & Release of Liability

By signing this agreement upon membership form submission, you acknowledge that participation in a parade involves certain inherent risks. you assume all responsibility for my participation and release the Krewe of Les Bon Temps Rouler, its officers, and sponsors from any liability for personal injury, loss, or damage incurred during parade activities.
